Hovercraft

Aim -

To design and manufacture a vehicle combining the functionalities of a hovercraft and a quadcopter - essentially create a vehicle to travel on land, water and air.

Motivation -

This was my first project in college exploring the "Centre for Innovation". I was looking to get involved with the technological sphere of the college when the Aero Club floated this project for interested freshers.

What I learnt -

Quadcopters and flight basics (lift, drag, principle, components, efficiency etc.)
Basic electronics, soldering
Basics of PID control

Progress and Current Status -

Design and fabrication completed
Hovercraft functionality was perfect but flight was not achieved
Project presented at Institute's Center for Innovation Open House 2018
